eKauri is telecare system which enables and improves the quality of life, security and independence of older people who are disabled or dependent and live alone. Small sensors are placed in the house of the resident/patient. Ambient information is then collected without compromising the privacy of the older person. Through a proprietary wireless hub, the information received by the sensors is transmitted to the central servers. The caregiver and other professional team members (nurses, social workers, doctors, psychologists, etc.) can deal with it in real time to diagnose the patient and prevent accidents.
