Slusanschi
 

Professor

Emil Slusanschi is a professor at the Computer Science and Engineering Department of the University Politehnica of Bucharest. He holds a BSc and MSc in Computer Science from the UPB and a PhD from the Institute for Scientific Computing at the RWTH-Aachen University in Germany. His main fields of interest include high performance scientific computing, compilers, automatic semantic transformations of computer codes, multi-core and multi-processor systems.

He coordinated the UPB team in the EUWB, TWISNet and LEXNET European projects. He is currently heading the Centre for Research in Computing within the UPB, and is the president of the Romanian Association for the Promotion of Advanced Computational Methods in Scientific Research (ARCAS), representing Romania within PRACE.
